PACE has been a pioneer in real-time, in-flight aircraft performance optimization since 2007, launching our CI-OPS product to calculate optimized speeds and altitudes for aircraft without Cost Index capabilities.

In 2014, we partnered with Deutsche Lufthansa to develop the first commercially available real-time optimization product, PACE FPO.

Building on advancements in technology, we enhanced PACE FPO in 2018 to be the first cloud-based real-time in-flight profile optimization tool, with Largest US airline as our launch customer. Since then, numerous airlines have adopted our cutting-edge technology, yielding significant fuel and time savings, supporting sustainability efforts, and improving operational reliability.

When COVID-19 disrupted commercial aviation, we took it as an opportunity to enhance our solution and elevate it to a new industry benchmark. We partnered with Nexteon to integrate their NASA-proven SmartRoutes® technology, enabling advanced lateral optimization. The result: FPO-SR, the first holistic decision support tool that delivers real-time, best-in-class 5D collaborative trajectory optimization—considering fuel burn, winds, airspace restrictions, and traffic conflicts across all phases of flight.
